The Life of John Knox

Although a number of biographies of Knox have been published, none has ever approached M’Crie’s “Life” for its spiritual understanding of his giant among Scotland’s Reformers. But this is not all; for, to quote John M Simpson on Edinburgh University, “Thomas M’Crie was one of the best historians that Scotland has produced.”
