This most recent edition of the split-leaf Psalms of David in Metre faithfully preserves the text of the 1650 Scottish Metrical Psalter and includes 210 tunes, drawn from a wide variety of locations and periods of history. The split-leaf format is designed to facilitate the selection of a tune suited to the content of the Psalm being sung (as well as the repertoire, culture, and musical ability of the singers). This edition also includes an expanded tune pairing index, a tune classification index, and an expanded subject index.
Grange Press also produced a Heritage Edition of this psalter—a numbered edition of 150 hand-crafted, leather bound volumes. The proceeds from this Heritage Edition offset the significant financial cost of producing the split-leaf psalter. Click for Details.

So grateful to have received our first copy of this beautiful psalter earlier this week. The typeface is clear and attractive, the organization of tunes by their general character is a very helpful addition, and the quality of the binding makes it much easier to turn the split leaves than in our older copies.
